Jason Mraz, la biographie

Jason Mraz est un auteur, compositeur et interprète américain, né en 1977 à Mechanicsville en Virginie aux Etats-Unis. Il commence à jouer de la guitare dès l'âge de 18 ans puis passe une année à l'American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Il part ensuite pour San Diego, ville réputée pour ses nouveaux talents et y rencontre deux percussionnistes qui décident de l'accompagner sur scène. Pendant deux ans, il va alors se produire sans relâche.

Début 2002, il signe un contrat chez Elektra Records et sort un premier album, "Waiting For My Rocket To Come", qui trouve un certain succès outre-Atlantique. Trois ans plus tard, il propose un deuxième opus, "Mr. A-Z", puis repart en tournée et fait notamment les premières parties d'Alanis Morissette, des Rolling Stones ou encore de James Blunt. En 2008, il éclate véritablement auprès du grand public et notamment en France avec "We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things", porté par le single "I'm Yours", véritable tube sur les ondes. Au printemps 2009, il part pour une tournée française et se produit notamment au Zénith de Paris.
