Kasabian, la biographie

Kasabian est un groupe de rock anglais formé autour de Tom Meighan (chanteur), Chris Edwards (bassiste) et Sergio Pizzorno (guitariste et claviers). Originaire de Leicester, le trio se transforme rapidement en quatuor, lorsqu'il rencontre et débauche Christopher Karloff (guitariste et claviers) dans un pub. En 2005, le groupe sort son premier album éponyme. Plusieurs des titres sont des tubes à part entière comme "Club foot" et "Cutt off" et "L.S.F".

De passage au festival français Rock En Seine, en 2006, la formation revient avec un deuxième album, "Empire", qui se classe rapidement en tête des charts britanniques. Trois ans plus tard, elle s'entoure de Sergio Pizzorno et Dan the Automator (Gorillaz) pour enregistrer "The West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum", un disque éclectique bien accueilli par le public et par la presse. En 2011, Kasabian livre "Velociraptor" et joue notamment au Zénith de Paris au mois de novembre.
